What Is Mercedes-Benz Service A & Service B?

Mercedes-Benz is a renowned name for building high-quality, well-engineered cars. If you own one, it needs to be looked after to ensure it is always looking and running at its best. Therefore, you need to confirm your Merc gets good service when needed to ensure a long-lasting and safe performance on Ireland roads.

All 2009 and newer models feature A and B service alerts, wherein a message pop-ups on your dashboard telling you that your vehicle needs one of these services. But what do Service A and B mean, and how do you get it done?

Let us break it down.

To encourage regular inspections and repairs, Mercedes-Benz has created a flexible service system that divides the maintenance needs into Service A and Service B. Whenever your Mercedes service Ireland is due for one; the system alerts you. With this Flexible Service, you know exactly how to take care of your Mercedes and can keep it in premium condition at minimum cost.

What is Mercedes-Benz Service A?

The frequency with which you will need Service A varies based on where you drive, how you handle the vehicle, and other factors. Typically, a Mercedes made after 2009 will require Service A once it reaches one year old or 10,000 miles on the road and every two years after that.

  • Replacing the fuel filter as specified by the model’s maintenance manual
  • Performing all other repairs specific to your vehicle’s model and year

Certain Mercedes vehicles, like those made in 2015, with V12 engines and manufactured by AMG®, have unique service needs. Inform your service provider if you have such a vehicle and follow their instructions for maintenance.
